Recalls from Parent's Mag, Nov Issue

Post by Nicole on Wed Oct 10, 2007 11:17 pm

"Thomas & Friends, Curious George, and other Spinning Tops and Tin Pails - 66,000 tops and 4,700 pails (sold from July 01-July 02) were recalled because the paint on the handles contains excessive levels of lead. Call 800-767-8697 for a refund or replacement."

"Mattel Barbie Accessory Toys - 675,000 Barbie toys (sold from Oct. 06-Aug. 07) were recalled because the paint contains lead. Call 888-496-8330 to see which accessories were recalled and to get a replacement toy."

"Plyaskool Sippy Cups - 84,000 sippy cups (sold at CVS stores from Sep. 06-April 07) were recalled because young children can chew through the plastic spout, and this poses a choking hazard. Return the cup to any CVS for a refund"

"Graco ComfortSport Convertible Car Seat - 276,000 car seats (sold from Jan. 07-July 07) were recalled because the lower anchorage belt was misrouted during the assembly process; in the rear-facing mode, this could cause the seat to rotate more during a frontal crash. Call 800-345-4109 for instructions on how to route the belt correctly"
