Last night I hooked up Ana's 16 hour feed around 9 o'clock. I pushed her meds and got her pj's on. While doing all of this we had a conversation. She wanted me to know that she had a dream the night before. She said that in her dream her tubie came out... when it came out then she only had one tubie, not 2! She went on and on about it until I was done. I thought nothing of it and went to bed. I woke up this morning to a screaming Ana. She was screaming that her tubie fell off!!! I thought the extension and jumped up to close the button. I lifted her shirt and there was no button!!!! I lost it!!!! I grabbed the k-y, the kit, and got her ready for a button change..... The button would not go in!!!!! It was completely closed!!!!! This is her J tube that closed.... the one she had placed in April!!!!! I started crying and calling everyone to get help... the flippin' hospital is 2 hours away!!! I called my mom to see when Ana's tube may have fallen out and she stated that she had no idea, but Ana climbed in bed with her at 4AM. I ran to her room and saw that the pump had saturated the floor next to her bed!!! We took her straight to the ER and they assessed... They decided to dilate it .... only one problem... Ana doesn't do great under anteshesia, and can not have oral meds like versed (sp?) because they have the opposite effect and make her go crazy. They opted to put this stiff catheter thing in and dilate without any type of pain management!!! It was horrible... very painful! She came thru like a champ. This has been a very bad day....

Emmy what a horrible, horrible thing for you all to have gone through. I am constantly amazed at how strong you all are.

Prayers that things get better soon.

I can't even begin to imagine how horrific this all must be. Hugs to you, and Ana. I hope she's recovering from this episode.

I am sorry that I didn't see this post when this happened!
That is one thing I worry about too-the tube coming out and closing up fast. With just the G-tube at least we can replace it at home. I thought J-tubes had to be replaced surgically? Poor Ana and poor you!
I know you were planning to go to see a specialist this July. Did you guys go? What did they find out?
I have been thinking of you all. Hopefully we can get together soon?
Next week I have Friday available for a playdate. Is Olivia back in town?

No I don'tthink she is. We are currently stranded in NJ. You can read about it on the site. We will be back in town on the 18th.
